Coach Dave

Owner/Head Coach

Lifelong Athlete + Coach

Head Coach/Owner - Triathlon Coaching

At a young age, Dave’s natural mentoring ability caught the attention of his baseball team’s coach. Impressed by his willingness to help fellow athletes, the coach asked Dave to guide some junior players who needed extra assistance. This early coaching experience ignited Dave’s passion for mentoring and inspiring athletes.

As a child, Dave started riding bicycles, and this passion has grown over the years. In 2008, as a childhood leukemia survivor, he partnered with Team in Training to raise money for research. His first event with them was a challenging 100-mile ride around Lake Tahoe. Dave’s commitment extended beyond that year. He volunteered as a ride lead, becoming a mentor to fellow cyclists, further fueling his passion.

In 2009, he embraced the world of triathlons, driven by a bet with co-workers challenging him to conquer the Mooseman Olympic distance event. Despite being unfamiliar with swimming, Dave enrolled in an adult swim course and worked tirelessly to prepare for the race. On race day, his first open water swim proved to be a daunting challenge, but it ignited his unyielding passion for triathlons. Since then, Dave has competed in all distances of triathlon, including full Ironman, and has dedicated himself to mentoring athletes of all levels.

In 2012, he proudly earned his USAT Coaching Certification and founded Power2Tri Endurance Coaching, a platform to share his expertise with adult athletes. With Dave’s guidance, athletes have conquered their first triathlons, reached podium finishes, and achieved national or world championship qualifications in longer distances like 70.3 or Ironman. Dave’s commitment to unlocking athletes’ potential is unwavering.

So, that’s Coach Dave – a passionate mentor who discovered his coaching calling at a young age, a dedicated family man, and a coach with a wealth of experience and knowledge to help you navigate the world of triathlons.

Coach Jenna

Jenna brings a rich background in competitive swimming and track and field, having experienced both as an athlete and coach. Her journey into triathlon during her mid-twenties was a deliberate choice, seamlessly blending her passion for swimming and running. Central to Jenna’s coaching philosophy is a steadfast belief in achieving a harmonious balance between life and sport. She places a premium on longevity and overall health for her athletes, recognizing that success in sports should coexist with a fulfilling life outside the arena.
